Women's golf wins Sunshine State Conference Tournament

"It was a great team victory, and to do so in such a convincing fashion was very memorable," said Head Coach Keith Larson, the SSC and South Region Coach of the Year. "The ladies played very hard, and I'm very proud that they have a Sunshine State Conference Championship scoring record in their name. They deserve the accolade!"

Lynn (+12,876) won the championship trophy by 20 strokes over second-place Rollins College (+32,896) and by 24 strokes over third-place University of Tampa (+36,900). The Fighting Knights were the only school at even par or better following the first two rounds.

Lynn's +12,876 is the best three-round score in SSC Tournament history, topping Nova Southeastern University's 17-over in 2018 at Osprey Point. The Fighting Knights broke their own tournament scoring record at Lake Jovita Golf Club after they set the mark at 20-over in 2019.

Lynn spent most of the spring season ranked No. 1 in the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) poll, ending the year with nine wins in 12 tournaments, never finishing outside the top five. The Fighting Knights won their last four tournaments, including the NCAA Division II South Regional, and finished in the final four of the national championships.
